Plan on multiple layers, starting with base layers! You can skip the reading and order one of our specially STAY WARM KITs.
It's important to be comfortable, so avoid heavy, bulky clothing and cotton fabrics.
Start with a good base layer. Cotton traps moisture and has a chilling effect once wet, increasing the risk of hypothermia. Good base layers are made from synthetic moisture-wicking fabric that moves moisture away from your skin, keeping you warm and dry. Patagonia Capilene tops and bottoms and Helly Hansen base layers are both great options.
Mid-Layers are the bridge between your base and outer layer (or shell). These fleece or sweater layers are also moisture-wicking, but add insulation to keep you warm. These layers are added and removed by skiers and hikers throughout the day to stay comfortable and maximize fun.
Good socks are key for a great trip. Warm, moisture-wicking, and comfortable, Bombas and SmartWool socks are perfect for keeping toes warm and dry.
Base layers and socks are available to purchase individually or as a package in one our STAY WARM KITs.
